The back could seat two adults. This model was not successful. In 1903 a 6-hp model was introduced which was further advanced to have 8-hp twin cylinder and other 12-hp cylinder models. The Wolseley Company produced up market cars and developed lavish showrooms. The company ventured into motor racing placed a heavy burden on its resources. It was sold to Barclays Bank and in 1926 the company was under receivership because of financial strain with a debt of up to two million pounds.
