Nash Motors was an American automobile manufacturer founded in 1916 by former General Motors president Charles W. Nash and based in Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA. Nash Motors was active from 1916 to 1938. From 1938 to 1954, Nash changed its name to Nash-Kelvinator Corporation. See the ads Nash wanted below.
In 1924, Nash purchased the LaFayette company and converted its plant to produce Ajax automobiles (an entry-level marque from Nash). Thirty years later, Nash merged with the Hudson Motor Car Company and created American Motors Corporation (AMC). See the ads Nash wanted below.
In 1970, AMC bought the Kaiser Jeep company (Willys-Overland Motors). Ten years later, AMC partnered with Renault to be able to enter into the American market. In 1987, Chrysler Corporation took over AMC, and created a new division called Jeep-Eagle. See also the ads Nash wanted below.
