MINI is a British automotive brand owned by the BMW Group. The original Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation from 1959 to 2000. Frank Stephenson designed the first generation. The first generation of MINI had been developped by BMW in Germany, and Rover in United Kingdom, between 1995 and 2001. Both companies didn't agree as for the position of the car: BMW wanted to create a small sport car, whereas Rover was for an economy car. See the ads MINI wanted below.
