Invicta is a British automobile manufacturer founded by Noel Macklin. The company was initially based mainly in England: Cobham from 1925 to 1933, then in Chelsea from 1933 to 1938 and finally in Virginia Water from 1946 to 1950. See the ads Invicta wanted below.
The Invicta automobiles were designed as to have a sporting perfornance, and the ability to accelerate from virtual standstill in top gear. Invicta cars were sold intermittently through successive decades. Production of Invicta cars ceased in 1935. The company tried to resurrect the brand using Delage and Darracq components, but failed. Eventually, Invicta made a come back in the early 2000s, introducing the Invicta S1, at a factory in Chippenham, Wiltshire, England. The car featured "the world's first one piece carbon fibre body to increase vehicle rigidity and minimise weight" and claimed to have "the strongest chassis ever tested in the UK".
