Darmont was a French automobile which was started by Roger Darmont in Courbevoie, France. This happened after McMinnie victory in 1913 in a Morgan Runabout during the first Cyclecar Grand Prix. See the ads Darmont wanted below.

Several Morgans were sold into France but the First World War interfered and sale reduced. The sales however picked up after the war and in 1919, Darmont and Morgan Motor Company made an agreement for French produced Morgan. The French produced Morgan was made and was called Darmont-Morgan. This model was similar to the England one with some of the parts shipped from England, and others made in Paris. Darmont used various engines such as water-cooled M.A.G engines, J.A.P engines, and air cooled M.A.G engines. These had eight valves and two inlet and two exit valves in each cylinder. The Darmont industry was able to produce 14 cars per week by the late 1920s. The three-wheelers stopped being produced in 1936 and the same year the first four- wheeler was introduced. This was a sports car that was not suited for everyday use. The Darmont factory did its own body-styling, its own engines, and continued to produce new models over the years. The V-junior model was produced in 1935 and, with the Second World War, everything came to an end. See also the ads Darmont wanted below.
