The first Bitter model, Bitter CD, was first shown as an Opel styling study in 1969 at the International motor show, in Frankfurt. Inspired, Robert Lutz, the head of Opel at the time, commissioned Pietro Frua, an Italian car designer, to produce the vehicle. See the ads Bitter wanted below.
The Bitter SC model was based on the Opel Senator, and bear a resemblance to Ferrari cars. It was sold between 1979 and 1989. The first SC model to appear was the Coupe, followed by the Convertible, and the Sedan. In 2007, Bitter made a come back, offering a new model, the Bitter Vero.
