Autobianchi was an Italian automobile manufacturer, founded by Bianchi, Pirelli and Fiat in 1955. Autobianchi only produced small car models. Fiat used the Autobianchi brand to test new and innovative concepts.

Bianchi was founded by Edoardo Bianchi in 1885, and was specialized in manufacturing high-end luxury cars. But the company was detroyed during World War II. After Edoardo Bianchi died in a car accident in 1946, his son Giuseppe took ownership of the Bianchi company. In order to build new models, Bianchi turned to to large industrial groups and partnered with Fiat and Pirelli. See the ads Bianchi wanted below.

The first car the new company produced was called the Bianchina, in 1957. Five years later, a new Bianchi model appeared: the Autobianchi Stellina. Followed by the Autobianchi Primula, the next year. Despite a crisis in the motorcycle market, two new Autobianchi models were launched in 1970: the Autobianchi A111 and Autobianchi A112. The latter was sold during 17 years.
