Armstrong Siddeley was a British engineering group specialized in producing luxury motor cars and aircraft engines. John Davenport Siddeley founded the company under the name of Siddeley Autocars in 1902. The first Siddeley models were based on Peugeot and used the same car parts. In 1919, Siddeley Autocars was bought by Armstrong Whitworth Development Company, and changed its name to Armstrong-Siddeley Motors. Armstrong-Siddeley was specialixed in manufacturing luxury cars, and later, aircraft engines. See the ads Armstrong-Siddeley wanted below.
